Isabella Rossellini was in Dallas as the featured guest of the Dallas Film Society’s annual “The Art of Film” gala fundraiser. But before she walked the red carpet at the gala, she spoke with students of SMU Meadows Division of Film and Media Arts for a master class. Our photographer Kim Leeson was on hand to capture the exciting and inspiring Q&A. Take a look below for our favorite shots.
Rossellini made an unforgettable impression on Hollywood with her leading role in the 1986 David Lynch film, Blue Velvet, for which she received an Independent Spirit Award® for Best Female Lead. Rossellini also received a GoldenGlobe® nomination for her performance in the 1996 television film Crime of the Century and a 1997 Emmy Award® nomination for her guest appearance in the television series Chicago Hope. Additional film credits include Wild at Heart; Death Becomes Her; Big Night; Infamous; Two Lovers; and Enemy.
Rossellini will be in the new film Joy, by David O. Russell, scheduled for release in December 2015. She will appear opposite Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper.
