Shara Rosenbalm, a graduate of SMU’s User Experience Design Certificate program, will be a featured speaker at Big Design 2021. In her session, Crushing Constraints as a Marginalized Group, she’ll discuss how designers of marginalized backgrounds can reframe challenges in the workplace and take ownership of their careers.
With a background in visual design, Shara used what she learned in the SMU UX program to become a digital product designer at Dialexa, a technology services firm that designs custom products and platforms.
The annual Big Design conference, founded by SMU CAPE instructor Brian Sullivan, brings together education, professional development and community service opportunities to design professionals through talks, panels, workshops, and other sessions – all fully online in 2021.
