Darryl Dickson-Carr named E. A. Lilly Professor in English

Professor Darryl Dickson-Carr has been appointed the E. A. Lilly Professor in English. In Provost Loboa’s words, the appointment has been made in recognition of Professor Dickson-Carr’s “many contributions to the Department of English, Dedman College, and Southern Methodist University,” and “most importantly” for the “outstanding nature” of his “important research in the areas of the Harlem Renaissance and African-American satirical work.”
