Yaddo.org selected Dr. Sanderia Faye Smith, Assistant Professor of Practice, as the 2023 recipient of The Yvonne Porter Endowed Residency. Awarded every other year to a Texan creative working in any discipline, the residency was established in 2000 by the Louisa Stude Sarofim Charitable Trust to honor Yvonne Porter. Yaddo sponsored residencies underwrite the cost of essential resources provided to “the great creative artists of our day.”
