Dedman College Dean Thomas DiPiero, an expert on To Kill A Mockingbird, told KERA that Atticus Finch remains an ideal of truth, justice and fatherly wisdom. After re-reading the novel as adults, however, DiPiero said many may find Atticus more complicated than they remember.
