We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Atsushi Inoue to the Department of Economics as the Robert H. and Nancy Dedman Professorship in Economics. Dr. Inoue, who received his Ph.D. in Economics from University of Pennsylvania in 1998, is one of the leading econometricians in the profession. Dr. Inoue has published numerous papers in journals such as Journal of Econometrics, Econometric Theory, Econometric Reviews, Econometrica, International Economic Review, Review of Economics and Statistics, and Journal of Business and Economic Statistics. He is an associate editor of Journal of Business and Economic Statistics and a co-editor of Journal of Econometric Methods, as well as a fellow of the Journal of Econometrics. Additionally, Dr. Inoue is a winner of the Econometric Theory Multa Scripsa Award and theNakahara prize (awarded by the Japanese Economic Association for the best Japanese economist under 45).
