Why pretend senators can ‘do impartial justice’?

Christopher Jenks, Tower Center Associate, wrote an op-ed for The Hill examining the ability of senators to be impartial when sitting in judgment. Jenks argues that taking an oath to be impartial during a trial would put the other oaths senators have taken at risk because it would essentially be a “mass false-swearing exercise.” Read more here.
