Tower Center Senior Fellow Harold Clarke and Fellow Marianne Stewart were featured in the National Post for their new polling research projects “Cometrends”.
Clarke and Stewart found that more than half of Americans are at least somewhat dissatisfied with democracy, and nearly one in five is “very dissatisfied,” compared to one in ten who is “very satisfied.” Young people were more likely to be dissatisfied than their elders. The partisan divide also remains “enormous,” said Clarke. Republican voters appear to be accepting Trump’s theories that the election was rigged and stolen through the use of hacked vote-counting machines, illegal rejection of boxes filled with votes for Trump, and rampant use of illegal fake ballots for Biden.
