Cullum Clark, Tower Center Senior Fellow, published an article called “Big D Is a Big Deal” in my City Journal, which talks about the growth Dallas has overcome over the last few years. In just the past decade, the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area has grown by 1.3 million, reaching a population of just under 7.7 million, turning Dallas into the nation’s fourth-largest metro, according to new figures from the 2020 census.
In this publication, Kotkin and Clark discuss how Dallas has grown over the years and how it will continue to grow. “Dallas-Fort Worth is emerging as a megacity but a distinctly polycentric one–more like Los Angeles than New York or Chicago.”
