Faculty Highlight: Texas Energy Outlook by James Coleman and Guillermo García Sánchez

Our Faculty Advisory Board Member James Coleman and our Research Fellow Guillermo García Sánchez wrote an op-ed in which they explain why Texas must show it is a reliable source of gas energy in an energy crisis.

Texas already provides natural gas to consumers in five continents, and through Texas energy exports, the state could be a global influence in reducing the use of coal in other parts of the world. However, they warn that restricting exports might give the image of Texas as an unreliable energy source, which could in turn endanger U.S. energy security.
