Amy is pursuing a joint degree MA/MBA in business and arts management from the Cox School of Business and Meadows School of the Arts. She is a recipient of the Virginia H. Miles scholarship and an Artistic Scholarship from Cox and Meadows, respectively. She was also recently awarded the Lanham Deal Internship award for academic achievement by the Eugene McDermott Foundation. This summer she is among 19 interns from around the world participating in the Summer Internship Program at the National Gallery of Art. Amy will assist the development department with fundraising and administration.
I’m beginning to feel as though I’m cheating on D.C. with friends from home. Or possibly I’ve become its greatest ambassador with astounding alacrity. I’ve been fortunate enough to host visiting friends or family for the past three weekends, and am looking forward to seeing more friends during each of my remaining weekends. For every visit I’ve suggested that my guests choose our sightseeing activities since “I live here” (I sort of do, at least). To the credit of the endless entertainments offered by the city, none of my guests have chosen duplicate activities.
