SMU Cox – Folsom Institute for Real Estate students took on an action-packed, 1.5 day corporate trek across Los Angeles, immersing themselves in the fast-paced world of real estate. Over the course of their visit, students engaged with ten leading industry firms, gaining firsthand exposure to a variety of sectors including retail, mixed-use, and office development.
The experience featured exclusive property tours, in-depth company presentations, and strategic overviews that offered invaluable insights into market trends, investment strategies, and the inner workings of top-tier real estate organizations. The trek hosted an alumni networking reception, where students had the opportunity to connect with SMU alumni currently shaping LA’s real estate landscape.
Participating companies included Bellwether, Lincoln Property Company, Hackman Capital Partners, The Culver Studios, Affinius Capital, Hines, CBRE, Fortress Investment Group, JLL, Alliance Bernstein, and Anderson Real Estate.
