The Interview Ready Roundtable is a signature event hosted by the Folsom Institute for Real Estate, designed to equip SMU real estate students with practical tools for career success. Students connect with accomplished alumni in small-group coaching sessions focused on interview preparation, real-world insights, and professional development. From mock interviews to expert advice on networking and follow-up strategies, this event helps students build confidence and sharpen their skills as they prepare to enter the industry.
MOCK INTERVIEW DAY
The Institute regularly hosts Real Estate Mock Interview Days, giving undergraduate and graduate students the chance to sharpen their interview skills with experienced industry professionals. These practice sessions offer valuable feedback, build confidence, and often lead to meaningful connections—and even career opportunities—for participating students.
LINKS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
The Leadership, Insight, Networking, and Knowledge (LINKs) Mentoring Program connects students with Folsom Board Members—seasoned real estate professionals—for coffee chats, lunches, and professional meetings. These small-group interactions offer students invaluable insights into the commercial real estate industry and help them become more confident and career-ready. Students are encouraged to ask candid questions and seek guidance on how to succeed in the field.
