The Folsom Institute for Real Estate at SMU Cox gave undergraduate students an invaluable glimpse into the world of real estate through an immersive trek across Dallas. Over the course of the day, students had the chance to step inside some of the city’s most influential real estate companies, including Fortress Investment Group, Crow Holdings, JLL, and Invesco.
These site visits opened students’ eyes to the wide range of opportunities within the industry — from investment management and development to brokerage and asset management. At each stop, students heard directly from industry leaders about their career paths, daily work, and the trends shaping today’s real estate market.
Beyond learning about different career tracks, students experienced what it feels like to work in dynamic corporate environments and gained valuable advice on how to build successful, rewarding careers.
