D. Franklin (Frank) Moore, Jr. has retired after 43 years as an attorney.
He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from SMU and J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee. He spent 26 years in the legal department of what is now known as InterContinental Hotels Group, one of the world’s largest hotel companies, with 11 hotel brands, including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn. He first joined Holiday Inns, Inc. in Memphis, then moved to the Atlanta, Georgia, area when the company relocated there in 1991. Moore managed litigation for eight years and was associate general counsel for the remainder of his career, responsible for managing legal matters in the Americas for the marketing and sales departments for all brands and the company’s intellectual property globally.
Moore also was in private practice in his hometown of Memphis for 14 years and with Guardsmark, Inc., a security services firm for three years, before joining the hotel company.
He and Ann, his wife of 44 years, enjoy maintaining their property north of Atlanta as a wildlife habitat.
