Ryan Fisher ’05, ’11 started studying coffee while working toward a Ph.D. in anthropology at SMU’s Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences. Now the co-owner of Commonwealth Coffee, a coffee roasting business in Denver, Fisher competed in the Iron Chef of international java experts a few weeks ago and took home second prize. In an interview with 5280, Fisher spills a few of his coffee secrets.
