From Farming Hay To Making The Field: SMU Alum Robert Richardson, Jr. ’04 Makes Third Start At Daytona 500

Robert Richardson, Jr. ’04 is a study in contrasts. While an SMU student, he played football for one season and majored in art. Now he grows hay on his Pilot Point, Texas, ranch and races cars in the Daytona 500. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram profiles Richardson, who started driving at local tracks while attending SMU and made his third start at Daytona on February 21, where he finished 38th.
