Salvador Dalí: An Early Surrealist Masterpiece

L’homme poisson by surrealist Salvador Dalí has been acquired by the Meadows Museum at SMU and is the centerpiece of an exhibition that will continue through June 19. The oil-on-canvas painting executed by the artist in 1930 is the first of Dalí’s works to enter a Texas museum collection. Interesting side note: Museum research revealed that Dalí had come to Dallas in 1952 to lecture at SMU’s McFarlin Auditorium.
