SMU Alum Arthur Muhammad: Creative Force Behind Carter High

Arthur Muhammad was a reserve wide receiver on Dallas’ storied Carter High School team of 1988. He went on to study film at SMU and is screenwriter, editor, director and driving force behind the movie Carter High, which opened recently at theaters in Dallas. In a recent interview with WFAA-TV in Dallas, Muhammad said there is a clear message he hopes the movie conveys: “That destiny is not a matter of chance; it’s a matter of choice.”
