When Apple decided to reinvent the movie editing interface for iMovie ’08, many traditional editors were quite unhappy with the loss of the timeline. New users of iMovie found working with the new method easy, but it frustrated longtime editors used to seeing a timeline to go along with their video. The online newsletter and Web site TidBITS reveled last week that you can regain the timeline in iMovie ’11. The best part, it’s fairly easy to do. By swapping the Project and Event browsers, you are now able to restore the traditional timeline.
