In August 2020, SMU Libraries uploaded 196 items into SMU Libraries Digital Collections. Highlights include:
12 interviews from the Southern Methodist University Oral History Interviews and Digital Humanities Student Projects collection. These interviews, with George T. Diaz, Nazia Hossain, Emem Inyang, Yvonne Johnson, Valerie Contreras-Gomez, Shasta Foy, Kayla Griffis, Audrey Ngo, Asad Rahman, Anna Ramirez, Cheryl Roseborough and Trina Sriram are part of the Voices of SMU project.

52 images, 1955-1968, from the Richard Steinheimer Photograph Collection. These photographs were taken throughout the U.S. West and feature views from the Sierra Mountains to Pyramid Lake in Nevada. A particularly striking set of photographs, taken in January 1967, shows the Southern Pacific cook shack at Norden, which burned down later the same year. Several images include the entrance of the cook shack covered in several feet of snow.

30 real photographic postcards, by Jim A. Alexander, from the Elmer and Diane Powell Collection on Mexico and the Mexican Revolution. These photographs primarily depict the events during and around the Battle of Ciudad Juarez, which took place in April and May of 1911, and include a photograph of two men with rifles drawn during the battle itself.
7 drawings, 1875-1912, from the Baldwin Locomotive Works Records collection. Included among these are three erecting card drawings for Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Company, two for Indiana Northern Railroad, and one for a county rail line. Also included is a detail drawing for a tender frame for Mason County Logging.
