Kit Addleman

Kit Addleman is a partner in the Dallas and Fort Worth offices of Haynes and Boone, LLP, where she leads the SEC and Financial Enforcement Defense Practice. Kit defends companies and their executives and directors against charges of civil and criminal misconduct, particularly investigations and litigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice. Prior to joining Haynes and Boone at the end of 2009, Kit was the regional director of the Atlanta Regional Office of the SEC. Kit has more than 20 years of experience with the SEC in the Atlanta, Fort Worth, Denver and Philadelphia offices including heading the enforcement program in the SEC’s Fort Worth and Atlanta offices before being named the regional director in Atlanta in 2007. Kit serves the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas as a member of its Board of Directors, chairwoman for the Alumnae Association, and a member of the Communications and Philanthropy Committee. She is also on the board of both the National Society of Compliance Professionals and the Consumer Credit Counseling Service, supporting the missions of financial literacy and money management, investor protection and securities compliance. She holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University and a J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Suzanne Montgomery

Suzanne Montgomery is currently the Vice President, Compliance & Chief Accessibility Officer at AT&T. In this role, she leads a team responsible for developing AT&T’s strategy for compliance, performing compliance oversight of mergers & acquisitions and minority interests, and preparing compliance-related reports to the Board of Directors. She is also responsible for interfacing with external and internal stakeholders to champion accessibility solutions in product and service design for customers and employees. Ms. Montgomery holds a B.A. from Drew University and a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.

Tim Newman is a Partner in the Dallas Office of Haynes and Boone, LLP. He is practical adviser who represents organizations and executives in government enforcement actions, internal investigations, cybersecurity matters, and complex litigation. A former federal law clerk, Tim guides clients through all phases of a crisis from initial discovery to resolution. He advises on compliance, conducts internal investigations, and leads his clients through enforcement actions by federal and state agencies. He received the Kirk Watson Excellence in Leadership Award from the Texas Young Lawyers Association in 2020, an award that recognizes one leader who has inspired and empowered others and promoted the goals and objectives of TYLA over his own interests or accolades. In 2019, he was selected as a Leading Dallas-Area Professional ‘20 Under 40’ by People Newspapers, D Magazine Partners, 2019, and he has been selected for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars, Thomson Reuters, 2016-2019. Tim holds a B.A. from Texas A&M and a J.D. from William & Mary Law School.

Clay Scheitzach

Clay Scheitzach is General Counsel for DriveTime Automotive Group Inc., one of the country’s largest used car retailers with over 150 locations nationwide, and Bridgecrest Acceptance Corporation, an affiliated financial services company servicing approximately $10B in financial assets.  Mr. Scheitzach leads all corporate administrative functions, including legal, compliance, insurance, licensing, and people.

Prior to DriveTime, Mr. Scheitzach was Chief Compliance Officer and Assistant General Counsel at Conduent, Inc. (formerly Xerox Business Services and Affiliated Computer Services, Inc.), where he managed litigation, internal investigations, compliance, and proudly served a company of 150,000 employees across the globe.  Prior to moving in-house, Mr. Scheitzach was a trial lawyer at Bracewell LLP where he specialized in corporate and commercial litigation and internal investigations.
