Marc I. Steinberg is the Rupert and Lillian Radford Professor of Law at SMU Dedman School of Law. He is the Director of SMU’s Corporate Directors’ Institute. Professor Steinberg also served as an enforcement attorney at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and thereafter became special projects counsel at the SEC. He received his undergraduate degree at The University of Michigan, JD at UCLA, and LLM at Yale University. Professor Steinberg has authored approximately 40 books and 150 law journal articles. His most recent book, Rethinking Securities Law, has been published by Oxford University Press. The book has received outstanding reviews including from former SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt who said, “For anyone who cares about strengthening capitalism, improving the efficiency of our capital markets, and protecting investors, Professor Marc Steinberg’s creative and thought-provoking book Rethinking Securities Law is a must read.”
