PAIGE HOLDEN MONTGOMERY’s practice covers all aspects of complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country. She has litigated a wide range of disputes, including: breach of contract, misrepresentation and fraud disputes; fiduciary duty obligations; securities class actions; actions under federal and state securities laws; bankruptcy-related matters; fraudulent transfer cases; multi-jurisdictional disputes; copyright disputes; and investigatory proceedings by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Association of Securities Dealers and the Commodity Futures & Trading Commission. Paige has also represented companies and board committees in internal investigations and reviews, including investigations related to alleged FCPA and other statutory violations, as well as accounting and executive issues. Paige has also assisted companies with risk assessments and corporate governance reform.

Paige has served as counsel in a number of high-profile cases. Her experience includes representing a Fortune 50 company in a suit alleging that it fraudulently spun off a subsidiary to its shareholders and representing large debtors in bankruptcy confirmation proceedings, adversary proceedings and claim litigation as well as in connection with inquiries by governmental entities. Paige’s pro bono activities, while diverse, have centered on human rights issues, including asylum representation.

In recognition of her success, Paige was named a “Best Lawyer” in the area of Commercial Litigation for 2016–2018. Paige was named a “Texas Rising Star” every year between 2009–2016.

Paige is a magna cum laude graduate of Southern Methodist University School of Law where she was a recipient of the Hutchinson Scholarship. She served as an articles editor for the SMU Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif. Paige was also a student member of the John C. Ford Inn of Court. Following law school, Paige clerked for the Honorable H. Barefoot Sanders of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Bill Howell advises clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters. He represents issuers and investment banking firms in various corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings, secondary and follow-on equity offerings, registered and private offerings of debt securities, venture capital investments and other financings. He has extensive experience in complex mergers and acquisitions, tender offers involving publicly traded entities, strategic alliances and joint ventures. Bill also advises clients on corporate governance, periodic reporting requirements, stock exchange rules and other compliance matters.

Bill has been selected by D Magazine as a “Best Lawyer in Dallas” (2017, 2018, and 2020). He is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America(2014–2022) and by Dallas Business Journal Who’s Who in Energy (2013 and 2014). Howard Hacker serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Tenet Healthcare, where he is responsible for overseeing the ethics and compliance programs for the Tenet enterprise, reporting directly to the Quality, Compliance and Ethics Committee of Tenet’s board of directors. Hacker joined Tenet after more than a decade at Pfizer Inc., where he had served in various legal and compliance leadership positions since 2004. Prior to Pfizer, Hacker worked for Jones Day and Akin Gump. He holds a BS from Washington University and a JD from the University of Texas, Austin.
