It that time of year again! With a new semester upon us, there will be lots of new faces joining SMU research labs. Please remember that upon embarking on your research endeavors, there are specific training requirements that must be met. All researchers working in laboratories with physical or chemical hazards must take SMU’s Laboratory Safety Training. Even if you have had safety training at another institution, it is still required that you take SMU’s version. Also, depending on the nature of your research, you may be required to take other trainings such as Biosafety, Bloodborne Pathogen, or Laser Safety. Don’t forget, we also offer Fire Extinguisher Training as well! Please see our Research and Education Training site for more information. You may register for trainings here.
