About Us

Our purpose is to learn which factors about RTI implementation are associated with stronger reading outcomes for students in Tier 3 or in special education with reading disabilities. The long term purpose of our project will be to help schools “FOCUS” on implementing a key set of malleable variables (those that can be changed by the school). Upon completion of Project FOCUS, we will have a rich database to design feasible and promising interventions for students, professional development for teachers, and school systems supports that can improve implementation of Tier 3 and special education.
