Martin Luther King, Jr. was an indefatigable fighter against economic and racial domination, and a fierce advocate for a Beloved Community that promotes and protects human dignity. Join us on January 25th, 2025, as we come together under the theme, “Toward The Beloved Community: Resisting Domination,” to discuss and reflect upon changes in the post-Civil Rights Black church and the ongoing struggle for racial and economic justice. Guest speaker: Dr. Jason E. Shelton, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Center for African American Studies at the University of Texas at Arlington. Event moderator: Dr. Michael Greene, Director of Black/Africana Church Studies at Perkins School of Theology/Southern Methodist University.  Event held at Salem Institutional Baptist Church, 3918 Crozier Street, Dallas, Texas 75214.
