37 items are related to the Texas Centennial Exposition, held at Fair Park, Dallas, 1936. A group of 46 trade cards includes advertising materials from buggy and wagon makers, shoe companies, soap manufacturers, etc. in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Photographic prints include images of the African American State Thomas Historic District, various baseball teams and managers from the Texas League, aerial views of Downtown Dallas, Dallas businesses from the early 1900s, and construction shots of Central Expressway. The Road to Independent Living photograph album contains 102 photographs marketing the farmlands and farming in the Texas Panhandle, including crops, livestock, irrigation, and prospective buyers from areas such as North Dakota and parts of Canada.19 videos from WFAA Newsfilm, 1960-1978, containing news clips and a- and b-roll footage from the Dallas ABC Television station covering May-June 1970.

Tibbitts Photographs: 6 images, 1895-1910, depicting everyday life and scenery of Sinaloa, Mexico are in Mexico: Photographs, Manuscripts, and Imprints, and 8 images of an oil train, oil wells, and Steywood Oil Syndicate in Jennings, LA; a Native American cliff dwelling and the San Xavier Mission in Tucson; and three Central Pacific Railroad photographs in California, are in U.S. West: Photographs, Manuscripts, and Imprints.Vera Cruz, ca. 1866-1867, an album containing 54 photographs documenting locations of importance to French activities in the state of Veracruz. Included are city views, public buildings, churches, markets, houses, ships, harbor scenes, railroads, landscapes, and native people, and also an image of French naval personnel and women on shipboard.

51 stereographs of Palestine (now modern day Israel and the West Bank), ca. 1870s-1900, from the Banks McLaurin, Jr. Stereograph Collection. The stereographs show the people and places of turn-of-the-20th century Palestine. A number of stereographs highlight sites and ruins believed to have ties to biblical figures and events. Highlights included The Temple Mount, The Garden of Gethsemane, and scenes of baptisms in the River Jordan.

Memorial on Behalf of the Citizens of Western Texas, Setting Forth the Grievances of the Loyal Union Men of that State..., 1866, a document referred to the Committee on Reconstruction, United States House of Representatives, petitioning for the creation of a separate state for Western Texas. This request was due to the area’s pro-Union views during and after the Civil War and its mistreatment by the state government.134 photographs from the newly-created Collection of Photographs by Andy Hanson digital collection showing various American political figures from the 1960s to the early 2000s. Notable persons include Lady Bird Johnson, John F. Kennedy, Texas Governor John Connally, Richard Nixon, and George W. Bush. Most of the photos are of these persons in the Dallas area, with many photos dating to the days of various presidential campaigns.

The images show Love Field officers and officers of visiting air fields, spectators at the Flyin’ Frolic, and the various forms of entertainment provided at the event, including aerial photographs of parachute jumps, stunting, and flight formations.
