$2,500

Students can apply for up to $500 to support research projects in psychology.

Description

Research costs money! Each year, students in the psychology program conduct original research but there are no funds available to support their efforts.  This project will allow for five worthy student research projects to be awarded $500 mini-grants.

Students will write a 2-page grant proposal that will be evaluated by a faculty committee. The top proposals will get funded. The funds may go toward data collection costs or travel expenses to attend a conference to present the research.

“It can be a transformative experience for an undergraduate to win their first research grant.”
— Dr. George Holden, chair of the psychology department
