Description

Everyone loves competition! We have the Super Bowl, the World Series, as well as the Stanley and World Cups. Why should these thrilling competitions be limited to athletics, when we can create equally exciting tournaments for scholars?

Enter DATAFEST! DataFest is a 3-day, 2-night competition (or “hackathon”) that provides a venue for talented and imaginative undergraduate data science students to showcase their ability to mine meaningful insights from complex data sets. Students will present their findings to invited industry professionals who will select overall winners for Best in Show, Best Visualization, and Best Use of External Data.

In order to implement DataFest, we need $1,200 and we will gladly accept donations of any size!

  • $200 will provide the winners with trophies and medals that they will cherish for a lifetime
  • $500 will provide snacks and beverages to fuel the students’ minds during their 3-day effort
  • $500 will provide each student with a t-shirt commemorating the event

Special Thank-You Reward Levels

All donors will receive a handwritten thank you card and an invitation to the event.

For donations $75 or more

  • An official DataFest T-shirt with your name printed as a sponsor on the back
