Watch DSO/SMU Harpist Emily Levin and Colleagues Perform Ravel’s Fairy Garden

Emily Levin, principal harp with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and adjunct associate professor of harp at Meadows, organized a remote performance video with her DSO colleagues of Ravel’s The Fairy Garden. Also performing on the video are Meadows faculty David Buck, flute; Erin Hannigan, oboe; Brian Jones, timpani; Alex Kienle, French horn; Kara Kirkendoll Welch, flute; David Matthews, English horn; George Nixon, percussion; Nathan Olson, violin; Brian Perry, double bass; Greg Raden, clarinet; and Ted Soluri, bassoon.

In addition, Levin was recently interviewed by SELF Magazine about what it’s like to be a musician who can no longer do live performances because of the pandemic.

In confronting the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, it is more important than ever to build and sustain our community connections. With SMU Meadows Keep Going, we’ll share faculty, alumni and student works, stories and more reflecting how the Meadows community is responding to this unprecedented event. Follow #keepgoingmeadows on TwitterFacebook, and Instagram for more.
