SPECIAL NOTES

Scheduling your visit: Check the Meadows Music rehearsal calendar to find the best day for your visit.

Submit your requested visit dates (first and second choice) at least 3 weeks in advance. Due to space and availability limitations, some Music Group Visit requests may not be possible. The Music Group Visit is not finalized until you receive email confirmation from Meadows Division of Music.

Please note that once detailed arrangements are made, change requests are strongly discouraged and are not guaranteed.

Lunch on Campus: SMU Meadows Division of Music cannot provide lunch coordination for Music Group Visits. Student groups can arrange to buy lunch on campus by contacting SMU Dining’s Jonathan Tyson at 214-768-2336 in advance of their visit. Or, students are welcome to bring sack lunches, but lunches and coolers must be left on the bus. There is not a designated interior lunch space for visiting groups. We encourage you to enjoy the beautiful grassy boulevard and picnic outdoors.

Buses: Buses require parking permits from SMU and must register at least two weeks in advance. Fill out the Campus Bus Visit request form here.

Mobility-Impaired Guests: If members of your group require accommodations for a physical disability or will require physical assistance during a walking tour at SMU Meadows School of the Arts, or if you have any other special needs, please contact us a day or two before your visit at 214-768-3217.

SMU Liability Release: To cover SMU’s liability expenses, you must bring a check made out to SMU on the day of your visit. The amount of the check should be $1.50 x number of students who will be attending the Music Group Visit. Furthermore, a SMU Liability Release Form must be filled out for each student attending. • While inside buildings, everyone in your group should use their “inside” voices and be respectful of student learning environments. Inappropriate or disrespectful comments or actions will not be tolerated, and may result in immediate termination of the visit.
