The program opens with Danzon No. 4 by Arturo Márquez. It will be followed by El Amor Brujo (Love, the Magician), by composer Manuel de Falla, with award-winning mezzo-soprano Angelica Mata as featured soloist. Next on the program is Maurice Ravel’s Pavane for a Dead Princess. The concert concludes with two short works by Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla, both of which are intriguing blends of tango, jazz and classical music. Proceeds from the event support the Meadows Impact Scholarship Fund, which provides vital financial assistance to promising Meadows undergraduate and graduate students.
