Regional AI Collaboration Symposium

The Texas Research Alliance is hosting a regional AI Collaboration Symposium for faculty at UNT Frisco on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 8:30 to 3:15, CT. Registration for the Symposium is free, but you must register by Friday, September 22.

Registration can be found at: https://tradfw.org/aisymposium/. Our objectives include learning more about Government and industry opportunities in AI/ML, supporting networking opportunities among regional faculty, and identifying application use-cases of interest to faculty.

The Agenda includes:

  • National Science Foundation and Industry AI Keynotes.
  • Overview of each universities AI capability, offerings, and facilities to support AI research.
  • Targeted faculty networking sessions.
  • Next steps in building regional teams to pursue larger opportunities in both core AI/ML and industry, municipality, and public agency use-cases.

A detailed agenda can be found on the registration page.

To facilitate networking and collaboration, TRA will forward to all attendees the meeting attendance information for all those registered. Our hope is that we have asked for the right information that will allow you to target faculty you currently do not know but are working in your areas of interest.

Please share this opportunity with colleagues working in AI/ML across the university and don’t hesitate to make suggestions that will enhance this regional effort. Our universities are doing a good job training the next generation AI/ML workforce and contributing to regional economic development. We want to take the next steps towards larger projects that will continue on this upward trajectory of education and service.
