Some folks on campus have reported receiving a notification that their Adobe software license is expiring. If you have received this notice, don’t fret! Our license with Adobe is still active and you can continue using Adobe products as before, but there is a new way to obtain the software and keep the license up-to-date. This pilot has ended and Adobe Certifications are no longer available on the SMU campus. More information on other certification options is available at smu.edu/certified.
How does an extra $25,000 per undergrad year sound? Adobe is looking to award annual college scholarships to 10 students who want to enter product design or experience design-related fields, such as digital, web, UX/UI, or industrial design. Last month, I had the opportunity to attend EduMAX, a pre-conference gathering of the Adobe Creative Campus Collaboration at Adobe MAX in Los Angeles. This year was the fifth anniversary of EduMAX. To celebrate, Adobe brought educational leaders and partners from across the globe to participate and discuss with other peer institutions how to enhance the student experience with Adobe tools. Eight schools were represented by over 20 different speakers covering social justice, becoming a Creative Campus, improving digital literacy, and even spotlighting the achievements of students.
