Should you have missed last week’s email, the OIT Training & Communications team is now launching a training newsletter exclusively for SMU staff.
As a team, we understand that faculty and staff have different training needs. Although faculty receive regular updates on the latest academic technology through our trusted Academic Technology Service Directors, staff communications have been primarily delivered through monthly OIT Technology News posts or geared toward specific training events and announcements. Since we facilitate a number of training requests, we want to make sure staff had regular targeted communications that specifically address training topics they may find useful.
What’s In the Training Insider?
The Training Insider is set to provide just-in-time training tips, answer common questions, suggest best practices, and, of course, offer productivity tips for enhanced efficiency. If you missed the first edition, you can still access all the articles here on our blog. Do you have a particular idea or topic you’d want to see covered? One common question we frequently hear from staff is, “Where’s that documentation?” To address this concern, Zach Peterson created a quick tip video as a guide to help you find what you need. This is just an example of one of the posts that was featured in our newsletter.
