If you have a new idea for a project, we want to know! All members of the SMU community can request an IT project. To get started, just visit smu.edu/itprojects and click the SUBMIT IDEA button. You will authenticate into our Project Management system—TeamDynamix, and from there, you can fill in your idea for the next great IT project.
Once an idea is submitted, it is evaluated by OIT’s Project Management Office (PMO). Project ideas are presented to the Governance Council for review, approval, and prioritization. To help ensure success, OIT will help develop your idea before submitting it for review. If approved, your idea becomes a project, gets scheduled based on strategic alignment, and a Project Manager is assigned. The Project Manager in partnership with you (or the Business Sponsor) is responsible for spearheading the project, including communicating with appropriate personnel. You can also track and monitor your project.
