With the recent changes in SMU operations, IT Training is moving the remaining in-person training sessions to an online webinar format. This includes the following sessions:

Microsoft Teams Essentials

Microsoft Teams is a next-generation communication and collaboration platform that brings the ease of Skype for Business together with the power and versatility of chat apps like Slack and HipChat. In this course, we will go over the foundations of working with teams, channels, chat, file sharing, applications, and more.April 30, 2020, 2:30 p.m.

Creating Documents in InDesign

April 30, 2020, 2:30 p.m.

This class will be an introduction to using Adobe InDesign to create documents, posters, and PDFs. Attendees will learn the basics of how to create a new document, adjust columns and margins, import text, place images, and finally export the document to PDF to share with others. InDesign is an industry-leading program used to design documents for print or PDF production. This course shows you how to create documents that can adapt to your text instead of the other way around.
