Remote Teaching & Working

OIT Completes Three Days of Faculty & Staff Training

We’ve just wrapped up three days of one of the most intense pieces of training in University history. In an unprecedented event, over a half dozen ATSDs, instructional designers, and specialists from around the University provided over 50 hours of live training covering general Canvas LMS usage, how to communicate with students using various online tools, tips and strategies of asynchronous and synchronous online teaching, and, of course, the essential features of Zoom. In addition, several hours of more training were provided to staff to make the transition to working remotely a successful one.

We know it has been a lot of information to absorb, but don’t worry – You will survive! If you missed any of the training sessions, recordings will be posted soon. Until then, we hope you enjoy this video that is an ode to your struggles.
