Making Sitecore Approachable with Individual Instruction

Sitecore Individual InstructionWith Sitecore being the official web tool for the campus, we want it to not only be a success for the University but using it to be successful for you too. OIT provides regular training classes, webinars, and SMU-specific documentation for using Sitecore. Beyond that, we offer several Sitecore Clinics, walk-in sessions where users can get their questions answers, and Individual Instruction, where users can get personal assistance with using features and forms.

It recently came to our attention that users are not taking advantage of the Individual Instruction option as we expected. While we have a good turnout for the Sitecore Clinics, just over 25% of the individual instruction time was booked. If you have a question or need some extra help using Sitecore, beyond the classes and clinic, these sessions can help.

If you need help with a specific page, Sitecore feature, or navigation menu, some Individual Instruction time could help. You can meet with one of our Sitecore Specialists for a 25-minute or 50-minute session. The Sitecore Specialist can also assist with setting up a web form or providing guidance – on approval from your department’s marketing lead – with the layout and design updates.

If you are ready to get started, just visit smu.edu/OIT/Services/Sitecore/individual-instruction to request a time.
