In this quick course, find out how you can use LinkedIn Learning to enhance your team’s professional development.

September 25 Sitecore for Content Editors

Are you responsible for updating information on existing SMU web pages but don’t know where to start? This session covers the basics of creating a web page from scratch within the Sitecore Content Management System. You will also learn how to work with links, images, and formatting of existing pages.

October 10 Microsoft Teams Essentials

Microsoft Teams is a next-generation communications and collaboration platform that brings the ease of Skype for Business together with the power and versatility of chat apps like Slack and HipChat. In this course we will go over the foundations of working with teams, channels, chat, file sharing, applications, and more.

October 22 Creating Documents in Adobe InDesign

This class will be an introduction to using Adobe InDesign to create documents, posters, and PDFs. Attendees will learn the basics of how to create a new document, adjust columns and margins, import text, place images, and finally export the document to PDF to share with others.

October 30 Microsoft Excel: Pivot Tables & Formulas

PivotTables are an extremely powerful tool built into Microsoft Excel that allows you to easily organize and filter large amounts of data. Discover how these tables work as well as learn about useful text formulas in this course!

November 7 Advanced Sitecore

Do you want to give your Sitecore pages that little something extra? Sitecore, SMU’s Web Content Management System, does a lot of the work in creating your pages, but sometimes it needs a little wrangling to get it to shine. This class will cover how to spice up those pages by editing the CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets, and HTML. We will also look at using widgets to present content in different ways.

December 5 Sparking Your Social Media with Adobe Spark

Find out how to use Adobe Spark to create graphics and video for social media. In this 90-minute course, you will see how Spark can help you to quickly create social content by simply picking a photo, adding text, and applying design filters using this online tool.
