SMU to use drones to inspect campus

Drone over Dallas HallSMU Buildings and Roads has circulated a notice that they will be using drones to inspect several campus buildings starting on February 7, 2018. The noise should not disrupt campus activities, but if you have questions or concerns about these inspections, please contact the project manager.

The original notice from SMU Buildings and Roads is below:

The Office of Facilities Planning and Management will be performing roof inspections/evaluations of forty-seven (47) sloped/slate roofs utilizing drones equipped with 4K High Definition Resolution cameras. This work will take place over the next several weeks with the following building inspections starting on Wednesday, Feb. 7, beginning at 8 a.m.:
