John Morgan is currently pursuing a BBA in Marketing with minors in Sports Management and Journalism, and he is intending to graduate in May of 2023. John is a member of several scholarship programs at SMU: Distinguished Scholar, The Mustang Band Scholarship, and the Lila Copeland Dye Scholarship.
John is involved on campus as a tenor saxophone in Mustang Band, a sportswriter for the Daily Campus, a member of Mustang Mavericks, an associate member of Program Council, a member of Wesley House, and as a small group leader for youth group at Highland Park United Methodist Church. In his free time, John enjoys running, hanging out with friends, and doing country swing dance.
In his role as Undergraduate Event Marketer at the Hunt Institute, John will be handling the marketing and analytic for all events within the Hunt Institute. In the future, he plans to pursue a career in sports marketing for a team or agency.
When asked what drew him to working at the Hunt Institute, he replied “The impact that the mission statement of the Hunt Institute has when put into effect produces positive change in the world that I cannot wait to be a part of.”
