Wade is a freshman at Southern Methodist University working towards his B.A. in Journalism, B.S. in Political Science, and B.S. in Public Policy. He is also a Student Senator for the 106th SMU Student Senate, University Honors Student, Meadows Ambassador, General Member of Student Foundation, and an anchor for SMU-TV. Wade has been recognized as a Hunt Leadership Scholar, Meadows Scholar, and he is a two-time recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award for community service.
He was born in Plano, Texas and grew up in neighboring Frisco, Texas. He attended Liberty High School where he was Student Body President, Executive Producer for his school’s student-run journalism program, President of a mental health organization on campus, and served on a number of advisory boards to the Principal and district officials. Wade also chaired the Frisco Impact chapter of Young Men’s Service League and interned at Custer Road United Methodist Church’s youth program. 
Wade is currently a journalist for the Hunt Institute where he is responsible for implementing the communications strategy of the Hunt Institute using multiple mediums including blogs, video, social media, podcasts. Wade views journalism as a public service with the critical purpose of keeping the public informed. In the future, he hopes to continue studying journalism and work for a broadcast news company.
