Steven Jones ’25
President & Founder
Steven is a full time MBA student, a member of Cox Business School’s Energy Club, Finance Association and Entrepreneurship Club. Prior to SMU Cox, Steven started his career with Seaport Global with the energy investment banking group and worked with A&D, capital markets, and restructuring groups. After his tenure and promotion to associate at Seaport Global, briefly working in tech sales prior to founding a drone services startup (still in development), he currently works as an MBA Intern at Hillcap Partners in Dallas.
Steven previously graduated from the Texas A&M University.

Sam Sandhu ’25
Head of Analyst Research, Founding Member
Sam is a full time MBA student. He is involved with the Finance and Real Estate clubs, and a recipient of the Cox Community Scholars award. Prior to SMU Cox, Sam worked as an Associate at KKR and as an Associate Analyst at T. Rowe Price, where he gained experience investing in high-yield bonds, leveraged loans and CLOs. Over four years he helped deploy over ~$3.5bn in capital across 45 deals in nine investment sectors.
Sam previously graduated from The University of Texas at Austin.

William Nolan ’25
Chief Of Staff, Founding Member
William is a full time MBA student. He is involved in the Consulting & Finance club, and Merit Scholar. Prior to SMU Cox, William worked in portfolio management at blockchain fund Plutus21 and most recently at wealth management startup, Personal Capital, which was acquired in 2020 by Empower retirement. During his time there he managed over $25bn in HNWI AUM, operated the fixed income trading desk, spearheaded a project to actively manage $3bn in defined contribution plans, and collaborated to develop a neural net into their proprietary trading platform.
