From digital marketing and global capital markets to family law, these educators are poised to enrich the learning journeys of SMU CAPE students.
Matt Huberty –Understanding Bitcoin & Global Capital Markets
With more than a decade of private equity experience at J.P. Morgan, followed by the launch of a bitcoin security company, Matt Huberty brings deep expertise in capital markets and cutting-edge crypto.
Matt holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in finance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and serves as an adjunct professor at SMU, where he teaches real estate and capital markets courses. His work blends academic rigor with practical experience, providing learners with a comprehensive understanding of global markets and emerging digital assets.
Laura Hayes – Family Law Concentration
Laura Hayes designed the Family Law Concentration curriculum to align with the Family Law Specialty Exam and to cover key areas of knowledge and professional responsibility emphasized on the test. She will guide your learning throughout the six-week program, drawing from her expertise as a leading family law attorney licensed to practice in Texas, Arizona, Georgia and Florida. In her work at KoonsFuller, Laura handles all aspects of complex and sophisticated family law matters, including the negotiation of prenuptial agreements, separation and divorce proceedings, mediations and arbitrations, trials and post-judgment matters and appeals.
She holds a B.S. in Political Science and European Studies from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, bringing both academic rigor and extensive legal practice to the classroom.
Katrina Anderson – Paralegal Studies Certificate
A Dallas native with more than two decades of legal experience, Katrina Anderson serves as both a part‑time magistrate judge and the founder of her own practice. She is a graduate of the University of Texas and Southern University Law Center.
As an adjunct professor, Katrina teaches Negotiations, Client Interviewing and Counseling courses, experiences that have shaped her strong foundation in legal education and student mentorship— expertise she brings to SMU CAPE’s Paralegal Studies Certificate program.
Rost Ginevich – Social Media: Strategy and Platforms
Rost Ginevich is a digital marketing and technology leader currently working at a Fintech firm that develops and markets a consumer-focused debt management platform. With experience as CIO at two public companies and a background in consulting, he brings a data-driven, platform-savvy approach to building and scaling digital marketing strategies. Rost holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an MBA from Oklahoma State University, as well as a Digital Marketing certificate from SMU Continuing and Professional Education. An adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Dallas, he teaches courses in Marketing, AI and Cybersecurity. In 2023, Rost was named one of OSU’s “Cowboy 100” MBA alumni.
Dr. George Hademenos – Keys to Success for Continuing Education Students
Dr. George Hademenos brings a wealth of instructional creativity and student‑focused strategies to SMU CAPE. With degrees in physics from Angelo State University and the University of Texas at Dallas, Dr. Hademenos is known for integrating 21st‑century learning skills into his classroom practice.
He looks forward to helping adult learners achieve academic and professional success through practical insights and engaging methods.
Steve Ramos – Paralegal Studies
Steve Ramos brings decades of real-world legal experience and leadership to SMU CAPE. An Associate Managing Counsel with Travelers Insurance, he practices insurance defense and subrogation and has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1992. Steve holds a BSBA from The Citadel and a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law, and has tried personal injury, commercial, criminal, and public sector cases to verdict in both federal and state courts across Texas.
In addition to his legal career, Steve served 34 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, retiring as a Colonel in 2023. He looks forward to sharing practical insights, disciplined problem-solving skills, and a commitment to professional excellence to support adult learners in their academic and career growth.
Libby Magliolo – Women in Leadership
Libby brings a powerful blend of academic excellence and real-world business experience to SMU CAPE. She combines her MBA from SMU’s Cox School of Business with professional experience at PwC and Southwest Airlines to teach the art of effective, high-impact presentations. As an adjunct professor at SMU Cox teaching business communication and through her company, The Slide Master, Libby empowers professionals to create compelling visual stories that truly engage audiences.
Known for transforming overwhelmed PowerPoint users into confident, polished presenters, Libby specializes in practical, hands-on techniques rooted in strategic storytelling and executive communication. While she has previously taught college prep courses with CAPE, she is excited to bring her expertise to the Women in Leadership program, helping students strengthen communication skills that accelerate career growth and set them apart professionally.
