Silje FjortoftThree players on the women’s soccer team have received All-Conference recognition from Conference USA. Senior forward/midfielder Kimber Bailey and junior defender Carley Phillips were named second-team All-Conference; forward Lauren Shepherd was named to the conference All-Freshman team. Read more.

Meanwhile, in men’s soccer, junior forward Scott Geppert, senior goalkeeper Steve Sandbo and senior midfielder Ben Shuleva have been named to the Conference USA All-Academic team. Read more.

Scott GeppertThe men’s soccer team has soared to No. 2 in the nation in the latest Soccer America magazine poll as the team swept Conference USA Player of the Week honors Oct. 22. Junior forward Scott Geppert (left) was named Offensive Player of the Week after scoring in both a 2-1 victory over UAB Oct. 17 and a 2-0 win over Florida International Oct. 21. Senior goalkeeper Steve Sandbo picked up his sixth and seventh victories of the season and notched his third shutout of the year to earn C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honors. Read more.
