SMU-in-Plano‘s Summer Youth Program is adding courses for parents in summer 2010.

Offerings for adults include classes in “Yoga While You Wait,” designed to help busy parents stay fit and stress-free during unlikely break times, such as the gaps between school and practice. Other courses include homework strategies, how to teach goal-setting and social confidence, recognizing dyslexia, digital camera secrets and more.

The Plano campus continues to offer a full slate of programs, including the popular LEGO® Technology series. Other workshop topics include math, writing, computer gaming, 3D animation, college prep and planning, reading enhancement, study and social skills, cooking, fashion sketching, web page design and a cartoon clinic, among others.

Courses are designed for children ranging from pre-kindergarten through high school.

Parents may register online for both the adult and youth workshops. Also available for a small additional cost is an Extended Day Option for students entering grades 3-7.
