Whose cuisine reigns supreme? Find out at SMU Iron Chef 2011

SMU Iron Chef 2 logoMentors from SMU Dining Services and student culinary teams from The Art Institute of Dallas, Collin College and Le Cordon Bleu will provide dinner and a show in a Hilltop version of Kitchen Stadium during the second annual SMU Iron Chef Competition.

The culinary battle takes place 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in RFoC @ Lee, Umphrey Lee Center, and is open for public viewing. SMU faculty, staff and students with meal plans can use a meal swipe or pay $9.25 plus tax at the door.

Teams will build menus, work on a food and decorating budget, and – true to format – create at least one dish using a “mystery ingredient” to be revealed during the contest. Awards will be voted on by students as well as a panel of judges.
