Truth in theatre: SMU hosted the U.S. premiere of Truth in Translation at 8 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Bob Hope Theatre, Owen Arts Center. One of the biggest critical hits of the 2007 Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, this account of testimony in South Africa’s post-apartheid Truth and Reconciliation Commission is scheduled for additional performances at 8 p.m. Sept. 7-8 and 2 p.m. Sept. 8. Advance reservations are full, but free nonreserved orchestra seats will be available for walk-up patrons; arrive one hour early and wait to be seated.
